Section 20 - Chigwell to Havering-atte-Bower

Locations: Hoxton, Barbican, Haggerston, South Hackney, London Fields, Homerton, Hackney Wick, Temple Mills, Leyton, Leytonstone, Wanstead, Redbridge, Gants Hill, Fulwell Cross, Clayhall, Hainault, Fairlop, Grange Hill and Havering-atte-Bower. The prayer walk goes through the boroughs of Havering and Redbridge.  Other boroughs within this section are Waltham Forest, Hackney, Islington and Tower Hamlets.

Interesting Fact

There once was a large Royal Palace at Havering-atte-Bower.  It stood where Havering-atte-Bower green is today.  The church stands where the original chapel was.  Originally Edward the Confessor built a holy retreat on the land.  Then hunting lodges were built by William the Conqueror and King John.  Charles 1 was the last king to stay at the Royal Palace.

Putting on the armour of God

Asking God
